Sacred Heart University and adidas have announced a 10-year extension to their partnership, in which the Portland, Ore.-based company will be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accessory brand of the Pioneers through the 2026-27 season. To help celebrate the extension, SHU student-athletes, coaches, and athletic administration and staff received a custom-branded adidas quarter zip.
With the new all-school deal, adidas will supply the Pioneers with footwear, apparel and accessories for all 32 varsity athletic teams. adidas will also become the official equipment provider for the SHU baseball and men’s and women’s lacrosse teams.

SHU Athletics is a member of the Northeast Conference, a 10-instutition NCAA Division I conference. The Pioneers have won a conference-best six Brenda Weare Commissioner’s Cups. In the 2016-17 year, they became the first member of the conference to win the NEC’s Commissioner’s Cup, Institutional Academic Award and Building Communities Award all in the same year. SHU student-athletes posted a 3.33 department GPA in the Fall 2016 semester, marking the 16th consecutive semester that Pioneer student-athletes have combined for a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
