Information was pulled from online portals, independent statistics sites and other rankings sites.
“Recognition as a top healthcare informatics program is particularly rewarding to the program and is a testament to the hard work of our faculty and staff,” said Stephen Burrows, director of the program. “We strive to deliver a high-quality education to our students.”
Challenged to be more accountable for health outcomes and, at the same time, to adopt digital health information systems, health-care delivery systems are in the midst of a technological revolution. With qualified candidates in high demand, SHU prepares graduates to tackle the challenges of health technology successfully and take on leadership positions. Graduates prioritize projects, strategize implementation of information technology and manage teams. Graduates also design solutions to the complex challenges of health information systems.
“Health-care informatics is an ever-expanding field that continues to grow and develop as health care realizes the positive impact that technology can have on the safety and quality of the care we deliver for our patients,” Burrows said. “As we continue to expand the ways in which technology is used in health care, having master’s-prepared individuals is crucial.”
