Men’s Cross Country Takes Sixth Place at ECAC/IC4A Division I Cross Country Championships

Men’s cross country finished sixth of 19 teams at the East Coast Athletic Conference/Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America (ECAC/IC4A)—the highest finish in program history. With a total score of 180 points, the Pioneers surpassed all Northeast Conference competitors in the race and improved on their 15th-place finish in 2015.

Connor Rog finished third overall, crossing the line in 25:50. Junior Trevor Guerrera improved on his 12th-place finish last year, finishing 11th in 26:09 this year. Making his first ECAC/IC4A Cross Country appearance, sophomore Joshua Hadity was 20th in 26:33. The three earned “All-East” Honors, which went to the top 25 individual finishers in the meet.

The rest of SHU’s top seven were freshman Gilmar Barrios (72nd, 27:37), junior Andrew Handfield (77th, 27:39), sophomore Sean Kildare (119th, 28:31) and freshman Scott Curtis (120th, 28:32).
