Men’s Cross Country Sweeps NEC Weekly Honors

Two runners reach personal best

For the third time this season, the Sacred Heart men’s cross country team swept the Northeast Conference weekly honors in mid-October.

Connor Rog earned his fifth Male Athlete of the Week award after finishing 19th out of 226 runners at the Princeton Invitational. His 8K time of 24:42 was a personal best, as well as the third-fastest in program history. Only Christopher Connelly and Sean Ferguson have run a faster 8K than Rog.

Joshua Hadity was named Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. Hadity was 57th at Princeton with a personal best time of 25:07.9, besting his previous best time by 1:29. His time is fourth-best in program history.
