As a member of the Human Resources team, Henderson will be responsible for developing, recommending, installing and administering benefit programs for SHU faculty and staff. These benefits include medical and dental options, term life and accidental death and dismemberment programs, long-term disability, pension and retirement plans, workers’ compensation, short-term disability, flexible spending accounts, supplemental retirement annuities and supplemental life insurance.
Henderson comes to SHU from Meridian Benefits Consulting, where she served as director of account management. She also worked as an account manager for Aetna.

Henderson graduated from Long Island University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and earned a certificate in human resources from Molloy College in Rockville Centre, N.Y. She currently holds Life, Accident and Health Insurance licensure in Connecticut, New York and several additional states, and she is a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
